See You In Disneyland

“America became a great blank canvas for utopian experiments.” The intension for America was to create new dreams. People started to come over from Europe in the late 15th century. There were so many hopes, dreams, and plans for the new world but no one knew exactly what could happen. That has always been one of the great appeals for America, it is the land of opportunity. Many people come with dreams of aspiring to become successful in all different ways. The expectation was, and still is, high for what Americans can achieve. During the beginning of the 19th century, many cities, roads, and buildings were being established. Since America was suppose to be the greatest country on the planet, we strived to achieve a perfect utopian society. This is not possible because not everybody can be happy. Even though everyone can be happy that did not stop Americans.

A utopia is a state or place were everything is perfect. This is exactly what Walt Disney was trying to achieve when the idea of Disneyland first being developed. Having a place where some one could go to forget about their worries. This is why Disneyland is also known as The Happiest Place on Earth. America is a free country, there are still laws prohibiting actions that may cause harm to some but overall the country is run well. I see Disneyland as a smaller version of America. It was once only a dream, but once that dream turned into reality there is no stopping it. Every great power has their rise and their fall, but the way both are executed is completely up to the ones in power. America and Disneyland both seem to want to make sure people are some what happy. It must be working because Disneyland has not shut down and millions of people still live in America.
